Background

Dh and I have adopted many times. Our first baby was adopted when we were 23yrs old. Adoption has always been our first choice.
We've experienced international infant adoptions, older, through the foster care system adoptions, and transracial, domestic infant adoptions. We've also experienced dissolution of adoptions, putting a child into residential housing (on our own w/o the help of the system), and dealing with RAD, ODD, PTSD, etc.
In total, we've had five successful adoptions. (These five have all been infant adoptions.) At one time, we also had three 'older child adoptions' (not all sibs) and all of these have failed in some way. :(
We are now contemplating adopting another baby; and we're both older parents.
