Baby on bus (c) Lynda Bernhardt

The Social Security Administration has posted the most popular baby names over the last 100 years. I thought it would be fun to explore some of those baby names over the next few weeks and see which baby names have stood the test of time. I have already covered some of those baby names, and I will add coverage of others as we explore the most popular baby names over the last 100 years.

The most popular baby name over the last 100 years is the baby name Mary, which I recently covered as a popular Christmas name. The baby name Mary ranked at #1 for 46 of the past 100 years. The baby name Michael was the second most popular baby name over the past 100 years, ranking #1 for 44 of the past 100 years. See Top 5 Names in Each of the Last 100 Years.
